Hi I am Kristin Maher.

I am a wife, mother of two boys, and owner of {f|h} farmhouse napa valley, a small business that provides interior design consultations and services and unique affordable home accents.

I have always had a passion for interior design! As a child I poured through design magazines often designing “rooms” with cut out pictures and was always rearranging and repainting my room. As I got older I would help my mom, and anybody else who would let me with furniture ideas and colors for their house. Fast forward many years through college, marriage, two babies and a lot of different jobs... I finally came back to my first passion of interior design sixteen years ago. Then in 2012 I started farmhouse napa valley with a dear friend, and incorporated interior design and lifestyle boutique. (My friend has since moved on from the business but we still remain great friends!)

I love helping people personalize their home by bringing all of the necessary elements of design together in their space so that if feels both comfortable and authentic. In my quest to help our environment I found a love of vintage and antique items that I could refinish and reuse. I love how each piece tells a story and don’t get me started about rust or chippy paint...the more the better.  By marrying vintage pieces with modern ones I discovered my style, which is now commonly called Farmhouse Style or Modern Farmhouse. Adding a line of farmhouse home decor to the business just seemed like a perfect fit.

I’m a laid back California girl looking for ways to simplify and slow down life, referencing back to a simpler time and bringing that into my designs. Layering both vintage and modern pieces helps to achieve a space that feels restful, collected, and well curated. The thrill of the hunt for found objects or the perfect new piece for a space keeps me coming back time and again!
